SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION
Keyword Density

The Keyword Density is the ratio of the number of occurrences of a Targeted Keyword
or Keyword Phrase to the total number of words in a Web page. It is a critical issue
for Search Engine ranking – the more often the keyword or phrase appears in
a page, the higher its Search Engine ranking.
The Keyword Density of a Keyword should be about 2% to 3% for the best results.
A phrase repeated too frequently will be treated by the Search Engines as SPAM.
If the Web page reads well to a visitor, the Search Engine will not treat the page
as SPAM.

As can be seen in the analysis, there is a concentration of Keywords relating to
"Visual Basic Programming" in the Home page. For a search done using the targeted
words, there will be a good chance that my Home page will have a high ranking.
If the resulting ranking is not good, then successive rewrites will be needed to
increase the Keyword Density of the targeted phrases.
