ASP.NET PROGRAMMING SKILLS

Example of a RSS Feed Reader

Visual Basic Programming with My.BlogThis example uses ASP.Net, Visual Basic.Net and the new My.Blog to read from an RSS Weblog Feed.

What Is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication allows you to receive the latest news headlines, personal Weblogs (or Blogs) and articles - as soon as they are published.

RSS-aware programs (called news aggregators) can help you keep up with all your favourite Blogs by checking their RSS Feeds and displaying up-to-date news items.

The following RSS Feed comes from the BBC, and is frequently updated. It shows the BBC Front Page News - World Edition.
