Title:
Visual Basic.Net, ASP.Net Programmer and Website designer.
Profile:
Sandpit Photos specialises in natural and creative portraiture for Childcare centres.
Their goal is to produce relaxed portraits of children in a fun atmosphere. They
also have a number of Childcare photography businesses which they franchise.
Duties:
Creation of a Web site for the administration of the Franchisee system.
Achievements:
- Carried out an analysis of requirements for the administration of a Childcare and
Franchisee system. Determined that a Website using ASP.Net was more cost effective
than a Microsoft Access Database.
- Created a Website using ASP.Net. Added Login and Web Page security. Added Administration
and Franchisees Menus.
- Set up an SQL Server 2005 database on the Web Server.
- Created an error handling routine to display error messages and record the error
in the SQL Server database.
- Converted an Excel spreadsheet containing Childcare Centres to the SQL Server database
on the Website.
- Added a Webpage to allow selection of Childcare Centres by Suburb, with a Grid to
display the Centres allocated. Added commands to allow a Centre to updated or added.
- Added a "News Flash" feature. The Administrator can enter a message, and
it will be immediately shown in the sidebar.
- Added a Webpage with Franchisee Company details. These can be added, deleted or
modified.
- Added a Table to hold the details of every Post Code and Suburb in Australia. Added
a Webpage to allow the Post Code searches for any partial Suburb.
- Created a Calendar Control for setting booking dates.
- Added a Webpage to allow allocations of Childcare Centres in a territory to a Franchisee.
- Added a "Booking Date" facility to the Website.
- Added a "Shoot Days" facility to the Website.
